Ground Maintenance (Seasonal)
Marshall County Board of Public Utilities

1. Operate, maintain, and service of mowing equipment safely, responsibly, and efficiently (pickup truck and trailer, lawn mower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, chainsaw, tractor and bush hog, brush trimmers, mixing and spraying of herbicides)
2. The duties and responsibilities are mowing, trimming, and spraying around tank sites, pumping station sites, wastewater sites, and shop. Mowing grass and trimming trees, grass and limb removal on driveways and parking lot at the office. Some leveling, seeding, and mulching of yard repairs in the water system.
3. The position is seasonal, (mid-April - Mid August) part time (24 hours a week) preferably Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays if weather is permitting but also Tuesdays and Thursdays if weather is not.
4. Must be self-motivated, responsible, and the ability to take direction both verbal and written.  

Necessary Special Requirements
  • Possession of a valid Tennessee Driver’s License, and the ability to be insured at standard vehicle liability rates. 
  • Completion of criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report.
