The primary responsibility of the Assessor of Property is to discover, list, classify and value all real, personal, or mixed property within the jurisdiction of Marshall County for tax purposes. This office also maintains the ownership of property records and updates tax maps showing the location of properties. The Assessor of Property is a Tennessee constitutionally elected official who serves at the pleasure of the Marshall County citizens for a four-year term of office. The office is located on the third floor of the Courthouse Annex Building in Lewisburg, TN.
